About Me
Marty Stallone’s interest in buying and developing raw land led him to his current role with Metropolitan Development Group, Inc., where he serves as the executive vice president of land development. A professional with more than 20 years of experience in finance, Marty is considered one of the industry’s leading experts and possesses truly unparalleled financial and analytical skills. It is due to this reputation that Marty is often asked to speak at organizational and professional seminars, including, for example, an invitation to speak in front of the Government Finance Officer’s Association.
With exceptional professional and academic credentials, Marty has always taken a great deal of pride in exceeding the lofty expectations created by the reputation that so frequently precedes him. Prior to joining Metropolitan Development Group, Inc., Marty thrived while working in the public markets and specialized in the structuring of complex capital finance transactions. While financial structuring was indeed a specialty, Marty brings an uncommon degree of versatility and has ample experience in derivative transactions, interest rate swaps, strategic development, and a host of other subjects related to finance and financial services.
Marty’s academic credentials include a degree earned from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, one of the prestigious universities belonging to the Ivy League. At Cornell, Marty earned the honor of being named a National Merit Scholar and belonged to the Chi Psi fraternity. It was after earning his bachelor’s degree that Marty first entered into the financial advisory industry, serving in a number of critical executive leadership roles that allowed him to assist clients across a broad range of circumstances.
As the executive vice president of land development with Metropolitan Development Group, Inc., Marty is responsible for identifying and purchasing raw land with the goal of securing approval from the local municipality to begin a land development project. The company has already demonstrated an unmatched ability to successfully complete any number of development projects that include both commercial and residential development projects. After accounting for any engineering and environmental issues, Marty and the team at Metropolitan Development Group, Inc., can begin preparing the infrastructure requirements such as utilities and roads as well as improving the land through grading and other relevant processes.
In the rare instances in which he is free from his professional responsibilities, Marty is likely to be found hard at work on one of his many philanthropic or charitable endeavors. Marty is a board member with three different organizations — the IM Able Foundation, the Wyomissing Area Education Foundation, and the Wyomissing Football Association — and he also has spent the past four seasons as an assistant coach with the Wyomissing Area High School basketball team.
While Marty is passionate about his professional endeavors and his involvement with the community, he is also quite fond of travel and makes a point to visit a unique and unfamiliar destination at least once per year. Although he would like to travel more often, he feels that his work and his philanthropy is always time well spent.
